THANKS! -------------------------- New Times "Best" is a great resource for date ideas The weekly free newspaper “New Times” puts out their 25th annual "Best of" edition on September 18, full of potential ideas for new places to go, things to do, and events to hang out. And "The Rep's Best" should be out around the same time in the weekly (Thursdays) entertainment magazine in the “Arizona Republic.” Mountains start fall color In late September you can see fall colors in Arizona's mountains, such as on the Hart Prairie Road north of Flagstaff. Fall colors spread throughout the high country in October. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< SHARE WITH A FRIEND-- PLEASE FORWARD THIS ISSUE ! If you haven't already done so, please forward this issue to your single friends and associates. Thanks so much! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< Advice from Aunt Janet: Stretch your horizons in dating Often times when we start dating someone we ask them, "What do you like to do?" We might be wiser to ask, "What are you willing to try?" Some folks are always ready to try something new, go some place they haven't been, eat new foods they've never eaten. Others are just about impossible to pry from their daily routines. These two groups should NOT be dating each other. Most of us, of course, fall somewhere in between. So when someone says, "Oh, do you like ....?", we may say "No," not because we don't like it, but because we've never given it a try. Stretch your horizons. Say, "I don't know. I'm willing to try it once." My own such experiences include mud-bog races, a boxing match, a professional tennis meet, and a Greek festival. In your local newspapers and magazines keep an eye out for activities, events, and restaurants that are new to you. Then suggest them as date ideas. Having such "adventures" together is part of what builds relationships! ---------------------------------------- Get timely tips on how to handle the mysteries of dating by signing up for Harlan’s dating e-newsletter.
